Rio is sired by Ch Boxken Big Issue. Her dam is a daughter of Ch Koppernox Mickey Finn, put to Ch Lichdel Uncle Silas at Winuwuk. She is the first bitch I’ve kept for the ring for quite a while; everyone I think knows how I prefer to show males, this is just testament to how much I like her.
She made her mark at the tail end of 2010, attending five Championship shows and being in the first 3 at all bar one, where she was placed 4th.
The highlight of 2010 was at her second show, Midland Counties, she was awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED in top flight company, by breed specialist Sue Ballinger, beating a Reserve CC winning dog to gain the Top award.
Rio started 2011 with a bang taking
BEST PUPPY IN BREED at the first Championship show of the new season, Manchester, under breed specialist Lynn Mair.
Following a 2nd place at the next show, the Anglian Boxer Club, she completed her puppy career by taking the top spot at the ultimate show;

Rio exceeded all hopes when being short listed to the LAST 4 FOR THE CC, at Essex & E Counties Boxer Club. This was her first show out of puppy aged just 12 months.
