Introduction

The Boys

Yorkshire born and bred, the Seacrest kennel of boxers is now situated in Staffordshire, in the heart of the UK.

As my dogs are my family, they all live as such. It is usual for visitors to be greeted by stud dogs, pensioners, and puppies all happily living together, with the kennels remaining empty.

The Seacrest affix was founded by my mother in 1962, she bred the first Seacrest champion in 1968. Although I was brought up with the dogs, it was only when a fall ended my career with horses in 1981 that I took a keener interest in dog showing. I discovered that I really loved handling and from then I was totally hooked.

The last thirty plus years have seen this small select kennel grow to become one of the most consistent winning kennels in the UK with many national awards to our credit, including;

  • TOP UK DOG 1994, (Runner-up 1995, 1996)
  • TOP UK KENNEL 1995
  • TOP UK SIRE 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997
  • TOP UK BREEDER 1999 and 2000
  • TOP UK PUPPY 2003 and 2016
  •
  • BITCH CC – CRUFTS 1991
  • DOG CC & BOB, WORKING GROUP 3, CRUFTS 1999
  • DOG OF THE YEAR 1996, 1997 and 2000
    (Cotswold Boxer Club national finals)

I have been fortunate to have bred or shown eight UK champions to date and 3 international champions. In 1998 we had three dogs in the top ten winning dogs in the UK, by virtue of this Seacrest became the first kennel to have three males qualified for the prestigious Cotswold Boxer Club National Dog of the Year competition.

I am also proud of our record of selling quality stock for others to win with.

I judge at championship show level in the UK, and have judged in Sweden, Norway, Southern Ireland, South Africa, New South Wales and Perth, Australia, and South Island New Zealand.

I hope you enjoy your visit to my kennel.
